I loved this wedding… since my own love story involves meeting a foreigner (Australian) while he happened to be visiting Los Angeles, I really connected with Joanna and Tim. She’s as Brit who fell in love with an American. When two people who spent most of their lives on opposite ends of the earth come together and find each other, it’s really magical. Their gorgeous wedding was at one of my favorite hotels, Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica. It was an intimate affair with 50 of their closest friends and family and the reception was set up at One Pico, one of the hotel’s fantastic restaurants.
Her dress was stunning and fit her like a glove!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…. I love when couples decide to see each other before the ceremony. Not only does it make for great photos, but you can enjoy a moment together when it’s just the two of you. I’ve also been told by many brides that their anxiety and nervousness completely evaporates the moment she lies eyes on her husband to be.
The gorgeous florals throughout the event were created by Bobbe Vagell
The bride’s father came out to get a “first look” as well. It was such a touching moment.
Best father/daughter moment I’ve seen in a long time!!
Clearly seeing each other before the ceremony didn’t detract from the excitement that was about to take place.
Tim couldn’t have looked happier!
The wedding was coordinated by Maryam Forutan from Delicate Details. She made sure every detail was perfect!
What could be better!
Since I was born and raised in Ohio I loved the fact that Tim’s beautiful bride surprised him with a Buckeye Groom’s cake
Congratulations Joanna and Tim!!
