They put photos from their engagement session on each of the candy jars – Click here to see more photos from that session: Engagement Session
Libby and Vic were married on July 18th at the beautiful Langham Hotel in Pasadena. This location is a photographers dream – lush gardens, bridges, arbor and many other fabulous places to shoot… Libby is an amazing bride. She takes “do it yourself” to the next level. She designed and made everything – from the centerpieces, to the corsages worn by the mothers/grandmothers, the place cards, plates, labels on the candy boxes, gift boxes and the gift inside, flower girl baskets…. the list really goes on and on. I heard that Vic is now a master at the glue gunThe results were amazing!!
The whole vision started with this dress. A friend of Libby’s saw this dress on the runway and e-mail her a photo saying she had to wear it at her wedding. The catch, Libby wasn’t even engaged when the e-mail was sent. It must have been fate because between the time her friend clicked send and Libby read the message, Vic had proposed!! The wheels were in motion…..
The theme of feathers and diamonds was seen everywhere – like these flower girl baskets
Libby made the corsages, like this one her mom wore.
Even the groomsmen boutonnieres had the feather and jewels – also made by the bride.
She didn’t make this necklace though – Cartier did
Gotta have your something blue
The hanker chief was her something old and borrowed.
Even though her little dog, Lucky didn’t attend the ceremony, he still had on his tux to celebrate the occasion!
The bride and her sister – they were so cute together!
It was a blistering hot day, so these fans really came in handy during the ceremony.
The ceremony site was simple, yet elegant. The jeweled decor continued here as well.
Her 94 year old grandfather walked her down the aisle – it was a very special moment for them both.
His ring put up a little fight going on his finger, but it worked out in the end
The room was amazing – She even made the centerpieces!
Even though the bride made everything, she enlisted the help of a fabulous planer, Carolyn Chen from The Special Day, inc to coordinate the day and get everything picture perfect.
Homemade place cards and she even added the jewels to the plates.
After dinner the dancing really got started – I loved how the colored lights looked against her dress.
DJ Lee Dyson kept the party going with great music – the guests were having a blast!
Wine glass rings were, again home made gifts for each of the guests.
I know that Libby worked so hard to make her wedding unique and memorable. She was stressed and frazzled in the days/weeks leading up to the event, but I think she did an amazing job and can probably now write a book on how to be a DIY bride
Congratulations Libby and Vic!!
