Shana and Vladimir’s chose two very different locations for their engagement session last month. We first started out at a gorgeous beach in Malibu and ended up at at the street lights outside the LACMA. This was cool because it allowed them to have a very casual look that allowed their personalities and fun side to shine and then they got all dolled up for a more formal look at the lights. Two shoots in one!!
I loved both locations for very different reasons. The beach was a great time. It was a gorgeous February day that reminds me (as if I needed the reminder!) how lucky I am to live in sunny Southern California. I think most of the country was blanketed in snow at the time. And I just let them go and have fun while I captured their antics. I saw an impromptu dirty dancing lift as well as lots of frolicking among the surf.
After than, we took a break to let the sun set a bit and headed to the LACMA lights. They dressed up and we got some very majestic looking photos among those antique street lamps. I love this spot and while it can be difficult sometimes to fight the crowds of people who flock there every night at dusk, it’s well worth it.
I can’t wait for their wedding in a couple of months – please enjoy!!
